The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is actually alarmed in regards to the superior number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme click here [ICROP] is to reach-out to the superior range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The company place made for intervention activities a substantial influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it hard for your Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to allow the servicing of all customers and raise access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
